So many theatres are opening up opportunities for new shows to be workshopped and performed. Temple Theatres has a new virtual production premiering November 13-14th called Iron John: An American Ghost Story by Jacinth Greywoode and Rebecca Hart; Directed by Christopher Windom and Music Directed by Adam J. Rineer. I had a great time returning to my alma mater (online) to play the titular role of "Iron" John Harper.
The viewing of the production will be FREE! Click the link here to RSVP!
While new productions abound, the classics never fade. I will be playing MAN 1 in the New Light Theatre virtual production of Songs for a New World by Jason Robert Brown. I have been looking forward to adding this show to my resume for such a long time and now I finally have the opportunity to play a dream role. The production will be streaming online January 8th-10th. Tickets go on sale December 1st. Visit New Light Theatre's website for more details.
I was so fortunate to embark on my first Zoom show with the Philadelphia Theatre Company in the new musical adaptation, Dear Shirley by Kristin Bair and Kevin Hammonds. A photo/memoir written by Hinda Schumann detailing her life.
America was forced to face the issues of racism in its institutions. I along with a group of Black theatre artists gathered to form the Black Theatre Alliance of Philadelphia to help support Black theatre artists in the greater Philadelphia Area. Learn More about BTAP here.
